Kai Islands to Banda Islands
I’ve done the ferry from the Kai Islands to Banda Islands. The first class cabin was far from first class, a bit dirty including toiletries from other previous guests. But it was good enough and the people were very friendly.
When I came aboard I did not know my cabin details and was pointed towards a public sleeping area. The middle aged women Indonesian were all so excited, it was quite amusing. I spoke to some people and they travel for days on the ferry, with 3 meals served.
The ferry trip is perfect, departing at 2200 and arriving around 1030 the following day.
As we approach Banda it looks like a paradise you’d see on a postcard.
