Heading to Tulehu from the Banda Islands

So I left Dirk and Colleen at the port near Ambon (Tulehu). I decided to have two nights in a nice hotel (Natsepa) which is about 9km away and halfway to Ambon. A lovely couple, who always invited me along to do things with them.

Note the picture is not of the ferry. This was the boat we took to Banda Island for the nutmeg plantation visit.

Rujak

I walked from the hotel along to road to a row of shacks. Where food was being freshly prepared. I got  Rujak (Indonesian Fruit Salad with Peanut Sauce) freshly made. Looking out from the shack was an amazing view and below me a white sandy beach. Wow! And I thought ‘I am missing you Grace ❤️.’

Reflecting on Banda and Kei Islands

Banda was lovely, in terms of nature it was spectacular.  Kei won in terms of nature and the people. I am so glad and feel so fortunate that I saw both.

This morning and this afternoon has been really good. I’ve been doing lots of admin and working on my blog. I feel like I have some structure back.

As always, missing Grace

I am missing Grace again. I go to all these places see couples, and there I am on my own.  But that is not what makes me sad. It’s just I do all these things and she is not here with me. I want her by my side, I want to grow old with her. I miss her so much.  I certainly don’t see a partner and I feel guilty for giving the impression to any women in the past that this is what I sought.

Do I want to go to Thailand?

I am not sure I want to go to Thailand at the moment. I desperately seek my own space for a few weeks. As it stands I will have 14 days in Spain. Maybe that will be enough. I need to use the time wisely as well. Focus on my writing and other things that are difficult to do when travelling.
